1956 Burney Tucker, a decorated World War II Veteran, established his own architecture firm. Burney had served as a pilot in the Marine Corps’ “Black Sheep Squadron” during the war and his leadership skills carried over to his career in architecture.
1972 David Kline later became a business partner with Burney Tucker, prompting the firm’s name change to Tucker – Kline & Associates.
1986 Robert Swinney and David Kline merged their respective businesses after the passing of Bernie Tucker, adopting the name Kline Swinney Associates.
2017 Bart Kline assumed the role of Partner after David Kline’s passing, continuing his father’s legacy. Bart and Bob Swinney have since co-led KSA, overseeing the company’s ongoing growth and prosperity.
2023 Tim Piansay, a long-time employee, was named Principal alongside Bart Kline, and Bob Swinney stepped down to enjoy a well-earned retirement.
Today, Bart Kline and Tim Piansay, the firm’s current Principals, help carry KSA’s legacy onward. Bart and Tim maintain direct control over all endeavors, which instills confidence in our clients and ensures that every undertaking is managed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
