Where are you originally from? What brought you to Nashville?
I was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States with my family at a young age. I’ve spent time in Nashville and Knoxville for school, and after completing my studies, I returned to Nashville to continue building my career.

What inspired you to pursue a career in architecture?
I’ve always been drawn to art and hands-on creativity. My interest in architecture started at a young age—my dad subscribed to a Vietnamese architecture magazine, and I loved flipping through it, fascinated by the designs and details of each building.

I didn’t seriously consider architecture as a career until high school, when I participated in a design-build competition. I spent countless nights building bridges and towers and quickly realized how much I enjoyed the process of designing and constructing. After winning that competition, I knew I wanted to pursue a path in design and the built environment.

As an experienced professional, what sorts of projects have you worked on?
I’ve primarily worked on educational, commercial, and some residential projects, including both renovations and new construction. As a newer architect, I’ve had the opportunity to grow by balancing production work with project coordination and site visits. Recently, I’ve also become more involved in construction evaluation for projects I helped design, which has been an incredibly valuable learning experience.

I believe every design has the potential to create an impact beyond simply meeting user needs. Whether small- or large-scale, each project can influence people’s daily lives, which makes thoughtful, well-executed design so important. Working on educational projects in particular has been especially meaningful to me—these spaces support learning and growth from a young age and carry a strong sense of purpose and responsibility.

What’s one fun fact or skill that you bring to the team?
I’m a bit of a Revit enthusiast and enjoy finding ways to use it more efficiently, which helps streamline workflows and improve team collaboration.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active—whether it’s working out, running, or spending time outdoors. I also love traveling and starting new art projects whenever I can.
