10th & Jefferson is a 54-unit, three-story apartment building that was built by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency with median income families in mind. The project consists of 54 apartment units on top of a podium (concrete plank, steel and block) with three floors of wood framed construction and a roof top terrace. It was designed with LEED standards at the beginning of the project, but due to budget limitations LEED was not pursued. This project utilized a new technique for sound mitigation to eliminate the use of gypcrete. This same system was later used for the design of Cayce Place. This project also utilized HUD 221 d4 for financing.
