The Bedford County Juvenile Detention Center is a purpose-built facility designed to provide a secure, functional, and rehabilitative environment for youth detainees. The facility includes specialized spaces to accommodate varying needs, including an isolation room for behavioral management, two middle school-age cells, and six high school-age cells, each designed to house 2-3 occupants.

In support of education and rehabilitation, the center features a dedicated classroom for 5-6 students, as well as a sick room, laundry facility, and a staff kitchenette/breakroom. Operational efficiency is enhanced with a service bay and loading dock, ensuring smooth logistical operations within the facility. The design prioritizes safety, security, and the well-being of both residents and staff.
