The Bedford County Juvenile Detention Center is designed to provide a safe, secure environment for youth while supporting their daily needs, education, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a variety of housing spaces, with two cells for middle school-age youth and six for high school-age youth, each accommodating two to three occupants. A separate isolation room provides space for individual behavioral needs.
Beyond the housing areas, the center includes a classroom for small-group instruction, a sick room, laundry facilities, and a kitchenette and breakroom for staff. A service bay and loading dock support the day-to-day operations of the facility. Each space is planned with a focus on functionality, safety, and the needs of both the youth in residence and the staff who care for them.
