The William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, built in 1970, is Nashville’s third tallest structure rising 452’ above city streets. KSA was selected to provide design and construction documents for repairing and cleaning the travertine facade of this 30+ story building, to help identify and remediate building skin leaks, and to completely renovate the 30th floor rooftop terrace.

The existing rooftop garden, plaza, and railings were removed and a new green roof garden and plaza installed, along with new pavers, roof membrane, and a lighted handrail and steel cable system that circles the perimeter of the 30th floor. To meet egress, we also designed the replacement of the existing terrace door and the addition of another door, egress stair and accessible wheelchair lift to handle the occupant load of the 30th floor.
